My wife and I bought this carrier to take our two e-bikes on weekend trips, and after using it several times, I'm really impressed. Installation on the tow ball was much easier than I expected, and once everything is locked in place, it feels very solid with almost no movement while driving.
Our bikes weigh around 25 kg each, and the carrier handles them without any issues. I especially like the tilting function because we can still open the boot during our trips without removing the bikes. That turned out to be much more useful than I originally thought.
We recently drove about 350 km to the Black Forest, including some motorway sections, and the bikes stayed perfectly secure the whole way. Folding the rack for storage in the garage is also convenient since it doesn't take up much space.
Overall, it feels like a well-built, high-quality carrier that's worth the investment if you regularly travel with heavy e-bikes. Highly recommended.
Direkt beim ersten Einsatz wirkte der Fahrradträger ziemlich durchdacht. Die Montage am Fahrzeug ging unkompliziert von der Hand, weil vieles bereits vormontiert ist und man nicht erst ewig mit einzelnen Teilen hantieren muss. Besonders praktisch finde ich die klappbaren Pedalstützen, da sich die Fahrräder dadurch recht sicher befestigen lassen. Für zwei E-Bikes bietet der Träger genug Platz und die hohe Tragfähigkeit macht einen soliden Eindruck. Auch die LED-Rückleuchten sorgen dafür, dass alles modern aussieht und gut sichtbar bleibt. Während der Nutzung ist mir aufgefallen, dass der Träger insgesamt stabil wirkt und die Räder nicht ständig verrutschen. Das zusammenklappen funktioniert ebenfalls ohne großes herumprobieren. Ein kleiner Nachteil ist, dass das Gewicht des Trägers selbst nicht ganz ohne ist, wodurch das Anbringen manchmal etwas kraft kostet. Außerdem musste ich bei der ersten Befestigung kurz nachschauen, ob alles richtig sitzt, weil manche Handgriffe nicht sofort selbsterklärend waren. Ansonsten macht das Ganze einen wertigen Eindruck und fühlt sich im Alltag ziemlich verlässlich an. Die Verarbeitung wirkt ordentlich, auch wenn hier und da ein paar Details etwas filigraner ausfallen als gedacht. Insgesamt macht der Träger genau das, was man sich davon erwatet, ohne unnötigen schnicksnack oder komplizierte Extras.
